At Madison, we believe that everyone in our community should have access to the resources they need to thrive. Whether you are facing financial hardship, struggling to make ends meet or simply need some extra support, there are resources available to you.

 

On this page, you will find a collection of helpful links and resources to connect you to local organizations and services. These resources include:

 

 

FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

 

 

Madison School District will be participating in the Summer Food Service Program which provides free meals to children 18 years of age or younger. Children do NOT have to be enrolled in any summer program to participate and no application or paperwork is required. Community members wishing to participate should report to the school office and ask to be directed to the cafeteria. Meals must be consumed on-site.

Breakfast Hours: 7:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.

Lunch Hours: 11:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Breakfast Hours: 7:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Lunch Hours: 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.

Breakfast Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 7:50 a.m. 

Lunch Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

 

*UPDATE* Free Meals Available for Students Who Qualify for Reduced Meal Pricing

On December 14, 2022, the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) announced temporary funding for schools to offer meals free of charge to students who qualify for reduced-price meal benefits. This funding is effective January 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, or until the allotted funding runs out. To complete the free or reduced meal application click here.

 

 

Harvest Compassion Center: HCC is a local food bank in Phoenix that provides emergency food boxes and other resources to families in need. They also offer free clothing, hygiene items and household goods.

St. Vincent de Paul: Offers food boxes and hot meals for those in need. They also have a mobile food pantry that visits various locations throughout the week.

 

 

The Society of St. Andrew: Distributes free produce to people in need through their Gleaning Network program.

 

 

St. Mary's Food Bank: Offers food boxes and operates a mobile pantry that visits different locations throughout the community.

United Food Bank: Provides food boxes and has a mobile pantry program that serves various communities in Central Phoenix.

 

 

Arizona Food Bank Network: Offers a directory of food banks and other resources throughout the state, including many in the Central Phoenix area.

 

 

Phoenix Public Library: Has several locations that offer free grab-and-go meals for children and teens during the summer.

EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS

Programs and organizations that provide academic support, including tutoring and mentoring services.

 

Bereavement and Counseling Services: Support and resources for individuals and families coping with loss, grief and other emotional challenges.
